However, the Netherlands turned the tide in the second half with a header by De Vrij in the 70th minute, equalizing the score.
The turning point came just six minutes later when Mert Müldür unfortunately scored an own goal, handing the lead to the Netherlands. Despite Turkey’s efforts, including Bertuğ Yıldırım’s late attempts, they were unable to equalize, and the Netherlands secured their spot in the semi-finals.
